The Wedding Revelers
The Event: Prashanthi Karthik Kalyanam
The Day: 3rd of July, 2011
The Bride: An innocent, beautiful and guile-less young woman who knows to speak only with affection. (Yeah! Yeah! I know. She is my sis. Yeah! Yeah! Despite that.) An enlightened confidence holds her head high. Not one formed out of the arrogance of achievements but one which comes with the conviction of being God’s favoured child.
The Groom: A soft spoken, courteous and accomplished young man with a bearing of great dignity. He miraculously manages to side step haughtiness, the inescapable companion of Technical Excellence. An uncompromisable respect for elders keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground.
The Families: The two loving couples stood together with the perfect understanding that only comes with the clarity of their absolute compatibility. Both parents of a son and a daughter, they coordinated the whole event with such enviable organisational skills that even experienced event organisers were seen gaping in awe.

The Relatives: Passionate individuals who made an occasion of the event. They threw themselves into every task with a zeal to do something for the child of their family who meant so much to them. Every music and dance session saw the kind of participation which we would never imagine possible. Even the normally reticent were drawn into the dance floor by the sheer energy generated. The bride and bridegroom broke into a jig to the classical number, “Andru vanthathum athe Nilla. Cha cha cha...” Even the parents of the featured couple succumbed to coaxing and joined them for a three way Indian Salsa.
A spontaneous jig to the music of nadaswaram!

No, these were not deeply talented people who sang in perfect melody or danced with silken moves. These were ordinary people who knew 2 steps and improvised a couple more but ones determined to have a good time. This is what made it all the more beautiful as it showed the involvement of everyone.
The Take-away: At the end of it all, one could sense that this was indeed a blessed couple making a grand start to what can only be a model life together. Everyone who played even a small role felt the gratitude of being able to contribute something to this monumental event. A memory which will be rekindled frequently, especially the coincidences(?). They were so perfect that had a novelist written them, he or she would be slammed in the reviews. The authour of this however cannot be questioned! [;)]

@SaiPriya: Thank You. I know such English that I will leave the British behind. You see sir, I can talk English, I can walk English, I can laugh English, I can run English, because English is such a funny language. (Amitabh Bhachan Not Rajinikanth)
@SaiDeepak: Very interesting to note that you said Them instead of Us. Made your lack of admiration very clear. :(
