Indulgence of a Birthday boy

One is normally allotted a certain amount of indulgence on his birthday. I thought I will carry it all the way by throwing on all of you, a blog.

Every person no matter how mundane his existence feels occasional spurts of grandeur arise forth in him. He takes on a different personality at those times. Becomes a leader of men (Note: Only one gender specified), a philosopher, a saint and maybe even GOD. This normally dies down after a while when reality after giving the person a nice smile, politely shows the mirror.

The world then goes on and all was well. Unfortunately with the coming of the world of blogging, these moments of grandeur got translated into words and published into eternity on the internet. Though this usually creates only a nuisance, it has surprisingly, some advantages.

It is said that there is nothing more powerful than an IDEA whose TIME has come. (No wonder both terms are registered and copyrighted). Unfortunately the one with the idea is not always the one with the ability or energy to implement the same but then he may still be able to inspire. Providence and sometimes Googleshwara often helps unite the two.

Hence with such noble intention, I have decided to confuse the world with my musings. Watch this space for your regular dose of madness.

Sense of grandeur? - totally - gifting oneself a blog on his bday (Note: Only one gender mentioned - touchbase with me to keep secrets like these! ;)) is grandeur-grandiloquence :)

As a blogger of close to 3 yrs now...I suggest u enable RSS feeds on ur blog - else the traffic might be difficult to come by.

The Thought Merchants

On the third day, we had a coastal ride and an ayurvedic massage scheduled. I was in the second batch of the ride and the last one for the massage. That meant a lazy morning with nothing to do. For me that means only one thing: A long walk and what is more, a walk along the shore letting the sea caress my feet with its temptingly chill and silky fingers. It is never cold in Chennai. One answer: Style) and the boombox in my head playing "Kadalin Deepam Ondru". Despite being a Kamal Fan, this Rajini number is my default walk song.  Ilaiyaraaja 's music is extra-ordinary and Rajini's cool, casual and yet thoroughly love-stricken stroll in the woods is a visual thoroughly imprinted in our minds. " I know that it is easy for us to think that He does not care about any of us leaving. After all, there are new students coming in every year. That however is far from the truth. He feels the pain of separation many times more than we do. So kindly at least give a letter and take leave off Him before you go for your job. It was the All Fools Day of 2005. It was the first day after I completed my Masters of Business Administration in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, 2 years after I had set foot in Prasanthi Nilayam for the very first time.
